A baby girl and her dog: A love story.

Some parents love elaborate setups or adorable themes for their first birthday cake smash sessions.

That’s not what I do.

I go for the all-white look.

For this session the baby’s nursery was still in progress (literally delivery men were carrying furniture up the stairs while I was there) and the guest bedroom had better lighting at that time of day than the parents’ primary bedroom. So we rolled with it and pretty much did the entire session in a guest room. And it’s one of my favorites of the year!
