Scheduling & when to book

For all newborn photography packages, I typically book out anywhere between 2-4 months in advance. It is highly recommended to book your newborn session while still pregnant, as this guarantees your session when baby arrives. Based on your due date, we pencil in a prospective session date. Once baby arrives, I ask you to contact me within the first 48 hours so we can either confirm the original date or find a new one that suits us both.

Payment

A $300 deposit is required to book, and the remainder of the payment is due the day of the session. Additional digital images and/or products can be ordered and paid for after your session date.

CT sales tax of 6.35% will be applied to all sessions.

HOW TO PREPARE YOUR HOUSE

1. Shut off the overhead lights (no really) and open up the curtains

2. Do a quick tidy-up (make the beds, hide the clutter)

When I arrive, please give me a tour of the spaces so I can get acclimated to the rooms and lighting conditions. I use natural window light for these sessions, and can advise on the best spots in your home for this.

Styling your session

For the baby (Outfits and props)

I will bring with me a selection of simple outfits and wraps, along with a wicker basket. If would prefer your baby wear clothing you have already selected or purchased, that’s great too. I recommend neutrals, muted colors, and lighter shades. Textures are great! Words, dark colors, and loud patterns don’t photograph as well.

For the rest of the family

Moms, wear something that makes you feel comfortable and confident! Dads, a simple button-up or a plain t-shirt with no prints (+ lighter pants or jeans) works well. For siblings, coordinate outfits to match mom and dad. Lighter neutrals (blush, cream, light blue, beige) always work.

Backdrops

Your home provides the backdrop for these images! Your primary bed, your baby’s room and crib, your rugs, chairs, wall art. In-home sessions are an excellent option if you want to show off that room you decorated with care, or like the idea that the pictures are taken in the places you spend the most time in.

Print Products (AN OPTIONAL upgrade)

Preserve your memories with a range of gorgeous prints, enlargements, wall art and album options - all available through the integrated print store accessed via your final online gallery.

For albums, interior layout design is complimentary.
